Connection of a coupon construction kit to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales

Brief description
The client operates as a public transport association. For its end customers and partners, it offers a bonus programme on the basis of which points can be collected for e.g. ticket purchases and redeemed by means of coupons. It offers companies to participate in bonus programmes as partners and to provide coupons for end customers. The PTA implements the necessary extensions in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales System and implements the interfaces to the internal bonus programme systems, such as the couponing construction kit via REST APIs as well as to the e-mail marketing system Optimizely (Optivo Episerver). The CRM system should be able to request coupon codes from the coupon construction kit and integrate them into prefabricated marketing lists, which are transferred to the Optimizely e-mail dispatch tool for sending transactional, trigger and marketing mailings and are also stored in the customer contact.

The CRM system should be able to receive information about redeemed coupons and hold this in the customer contacts for analysis and marketing purposes. The CRM system needs the ability to include an email template ID as well as a campaign template ID within a marketing list. If a campaign template ID has been added to a marketing list and this has been activated for dispatch, the CRM system must generate the required coupon codes via the coupon construction kit by means of a new coupon campaign on the basis of the ID and the information about the number. The generated codes are stored in the marketing list for Optimizely Campaign as well as in the respective customer contacts within the CRM system. The CRM system receives the redemption information of coupon codes through the construction kit and stores the information with the respective customer contacts. PTA GmbH implements the interfaces between the construction kit and Microsoft Dynamics 365 using REST APIs.
