Further development of a migrated cash basis accounting system. The goal is to fully replace the previous solution implemented under Clipper and DBase with the new client/server application based on MS .Net and SQL Server. The source code and the Word documentation of the old system and the process models of the new system serve as a basis for the implementation. During the transition phase, settlement relevant data for the back end should be generated by the old and the new interfaces (parallel operation).
Supplement
The technical processes of the transaction types and the XML structures of the generated settlement-relevant data for the back-end are modeled in Aris. Settlement relevant data are saved in the back-end in XML files (new .Net architecture) and in DBase files (old architecture) for further processing. As long as the old system has not been completely replaced, both architectures must be operated in parallel. The DBase files are filled though interfaces of the old system and serve as target values for tests. The contents of the XML files are exactly compared with the contents of the DBase files. Any mapping rules are created in the process.
