Bidding strategy for medication related requests for quotation – detailed specification

The customer participates as a supplier in seasonal requests for quotations relating to influenza vaccine from health insurance companies. Price quotations are submitted before a deadline by the bidders and not published. On the basis of a mathematical model, the customer simulates the strategies of his competitors in relation to the geographical batches in which quotations are submitted, and their price quotations. Included in the calculation are assumptions about the competitors (e.g. free capacity, bidding price) and the expected amount to be supplied per batch (batch size). Practical experience of past requests for quotations play an important role in this. In future, the customer also wants to use the simulation model for requests for quotations for other medications. Functional extensions are required for this purpose. These include, among other things, the configuration of requests for quotations (number batches, number of competitors), a user-specific administration of simulations.
