Brief description
Reporting depreciation of assets in SAP BI. Reporting is possible starting from cost centers, through to the individual assets and evaluation area-specific attributes of these assets (e.g. depreciation period).
Supplement
The relevant structures in the BI Content are activated. Due to the customer's generally applicable specifications for BI implementations, the BI Content objects would only be used if no adjustments were necessary for the specific requirements. As soon as adjustments are necessary, separate objects are used as copies of the BI Content objects; for example, the asset sub-number 0ASSET or the InfoProvider used for reporting. Enhancements of BI Content data sources in R/3 were not allowed either, so generic data sources were implemented accordingly for any necessary additional information, such as the deactivation date for plants.
Subject description
The resource level shows the current state of asset depreciations, in a similar way to the table of assets. Deactivated assets are not displayed here. The values posted in SAP R/3 are loaded each month to BI, although only the data from specific valuation areas is transferred.
