The existing application ist optimized for usage on a Microsoft Surface Notebook und ist used by insurance Regulators, to process reported Claims. The application is design to support Settlement of claims on site. PTA adds a new feature to the application, that allows automatic IBAN recognition similar to the bar code scanner functionality on smart phones, by making use of the integrated camera for the Surface. The IBAN read ist used for payment of compensations. To adapt for the various different kinds of debit cards, specialized argorithms are used. Furthermore a component for capturing signatures using touch of stylus is developed and integrated, in order to support the finalization of documents on site. On top of that, the application is optimized for the Windows 10 tablet mode in order to make it more usable using touch and the virtual keyboard only.
Supplement
For the development of the IBAN recognition, features of the Microsoft WPF and UWP Framework as well as other libraries for image Manipulation are integrated into the Windows Forms application. To make this possible, a migration from .NET 3.5 to .NET 4.6 is required. For testing the IBAN recognition, various card types are considered and scanned under different lightning conditions. The signature component also makes use of WPF featues. Both components are provided as seperate libraries and integrated into the application.

The application support the settlement of insurance Claims. It is offline capable for settlement as many times an on site visit is required and a stable internet connection may not be available. For calculation of the damage a feature is integrated that allows the flexible compilation of objects, rooms and trades that form the basis for determining the extend of the damage. Work carried out by the customer can be diffentiated from from expanses. Futhermore the application has a powerful draft engine that automates or facilitates the generation of documents required. In Addition to the Surface PC application an iOS App with similar features is available, only without the flexble draft Feature. Users can exchange between the iOS app and the Surface application.
