Measuring the energy consumption of our software is not trivial. There are hurdles, especially on x86 architectures – but Microsoft is helping us. The script-based programming language Visual Basic Script (VBS) was developed by Microsoft back in 1996 to automate tasks in Windows.
Now Microsoft is sending VBS to the scrapheap.
