PTA GmbH experiences successful day at in-house exhibition beegy CONNECT
Energy meets IT – that was the motto of the beegy CONNECT in-house exhibition on July 20, 2017 in Mannheim. More than 100 industry representatives discussed the opportunities and challenges of digital networking in the energy sector. PTA GmbH was also present. As an IT partner of beegy GmbH, a provider of complete solutions in the field of decentralized energy management, PTA brings the appropriate digital technologies to the table and was able to present its contribution to the overall solution at the in-house exhibition.
Experience IT tools live
Important discussion points at the in-house exhibition were above all the topics of the energy transition and digitization of the energy industry. Dr. Frank Gredel, member of the management board of PTA GmbH, for example, used the PTA solution at beegy in his presentation to explain how important a dynamic CRM tool is for customer and energy management processes in order to obtain a 360-degree view of the customer and to have all customer-centric processes run in a coordinated and, if possible, automated manner.
In addition to the keynote presentations by the individual IT service providers, the live demonstrations in particular illustrated the digital journey of the end customer along the process chain. This is because the realization of product and service offerings and the automation of the process chain require a large number of systems that are networked with each other. This already starts with CRM via monitoring tools and billing solutions and extends to smart metering and end-to-end testing for quality assurance.
Successful day for PTA & beegy
“The event showed that an efficient and agile IT structure as well as cross-industry partnerships are the basis for the future of the decentralized energy market and crucial for the realization of innovative solutions,” commented Marco Demuth, Managing Director of beegy GmbH. “It was definitely a successful day for us,” sums up Dr. Frank Gredel, PTA GmbH. “It’s a nice feeling to face the customers and the other IT partners to show what you’ve contributed to the joint success.”
Currently, beegy is building a community that generates decentralized energy and is independent of public electricity providers. This requires an efficient and agile IT structure as well as cross-industry partnerships. PTA GmbH will also follow this path.
