PTA donates Advent calendars and Christmas treats again this year
The Christmas season is upon us and with it comes the annual Advent donation from IT consultancy PTA GmbH, headquartered in Mannheim. As in previous years, the PTA team has become a firm tradition of donating Christmas treats and Advent calendars to charitable organizations or social services at all locations throughout Germany instead of giving gifts to customers and business partners. In the current uncertain times, a little attention and nourishment in the form of delicious chocolate can do a lot of good.
The coronavirus pandemic is entering its second winter and children are often the ones who receive the least attention in this confusing emergency situation. For this reason, this year the PTA group has decided to make the youngest members of our society happy and give them some attention with a small Advent donation. In the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, the tireless PTA team supplies not only schools but also institutions that care for seriously ill children with a good portion of Christmas chocolate in the form of Advent calendars.
“In what is now the fourth wave of coronavirus, we want to take care of the children who have already had to do without a lot during the pandemic and who are certainly the weakest link in our society,” says Dr. Tim Walleyo, Managing Director of PTA GmbH.
And once again this year, there is great joy when the PTA employees turn up with their Christmas surprise. In the Mannheim region, they have already been able to sweeten the school day at the Erich Kästner School in Mannheim, where principal Theresia Böhl accepted the donation on behalf of the school. Dr. Susanne Hämmerling from the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD) and Ms. Alicia Amberger from the parents’ association “Aktion für krebskranke Kinder e.V. Heidelberg” were also delighted with the Advent calendar donation and the Christmas chocolate hidden inside. And the fundraising campaign is picking up speed and will continue throughout the Advent season.
