PTA IT-Beratung exhibits in Hall 2.2/C-113
DMEA, Europe’s most important event for digital health, will once again open its doors to interested trade visitors at the Berlin exhibition halls from April 25 to 27. Trade visitors from over 40 countries are expected to gain a comprehensive picture of the current trends and developments in the healthcare industry in around 300 keynote speeches, practical presentations and discussion panels by and with experts from politics, self-administration, business and science. An extensive trade exhibition, in which over 500 exhibitors present their solutions and products, accompanies the leading trade fair; The life science specialists from Mannheim-based PTA IT-Beratung. will also be taking part; They will be presenting holistic solutions for digital applications in healthcare and laboratory diagnostics at stand C 113 in hall 2.2.
Major upheavals in the healthcare sector – tackling digital health
One topic is currently dominating the news headlines: The German healthcare system is facing major upheaval. The population is becoming increasingly older and therefore requires more and more intensive medical care, which may lead to cost explosions in the near future and must lead to a rethink. In addition, nursing staff are now chronically overstretched as a result of the pandemic and the increasing shortage of specialists – which has recently led to extensive discussions about the quality of medical care. As complex as these challenges are, there are solutions that can help overcome them: “Digitalization and modern, intelligent IT solutions can help here and there,” says Dr. Thomas Steinmann, who has overall responsibility for the life sciences sector at PTA IT-Beratung. “On the one hand, their use can increase efficiency, which contributes to improved patient care. On the other hand, the use of modern digital solutions also makes a valuable contribution to cushioning the overload on nursing staff.”
Detailed process knowledge meets proven IT know-how
For digital health to become a real success model, the underlying technologies should be simple and intuitive to use. In addition, digital health must take into account several factors that are closely interlinked and should never be viewed in isolation from one another: Only when IT knowledge is harmonized with experience in dealing with complex process flows as well as with diverse stakeholders and with the extensive regulatory requirements can digitalization projects be successfully established in the healthcare industry. For example, efficiency and productivity increases in the operation of testing and diagnostic laboratories can only be optimally exploited if complete and precise process knowledge is successfully incorporated into holistic laboratory information management systems and consistently mapped there; Key components of the digital infrastructure, both medical and laboratory information systems, medical devices, software-based medical products and communication systems, must be secure and ensure cross-system networking. The key to this interoperability is the use of common data transfer standards such as FIHR or certifications according to ISO 13485 and ISO 62304 as well as communication standards such as HL7 and IHE profiles; PTA’s IT consultants will be demonstrating how intelligent digital solutions can be developed on the basis of broad industry expertise and detailed IT know-how at their stand at the accompanying trade exhibition;
Video avatars – best practices and customer benefits of digital helpers
Another highlight of the PTA trade fair show is the newly developed digital video consulting assistant NEXOVI. The PTA’s life science experts show what possibilities this new technology opens up and how healthcare providers and payers can implement smart video avatars to relieve their usually scarce medical staff in various disciplines. Because digital consulting assistants explain to patients, customers or suppliers individually and personally in an end-to-end process what needs to be done, for example, as part of a complex application. NEXOVI in particular by providing “human” advice – through actors or adaptive, AI-supported avatars. The PTA consultants use best practices to show how the use of NEXOVI processes can be completed more efficiently, specialist staff can focus on their traditional and core tasks and the patient, applicant or customer is not left alone.
Leading trade fair DMEA at the pulse of digitalization
