PTA to showcase smart and holistic solutions for the healthcare industry at DMEA 2022

PTA IT-Beratung exhibits in hall 2.2/F-111

From April 26 to 28, 2022, DMEA, Europe’s leading event for the digitization of healthcare, will open its Berlin exhibition halls to interested trade visitors. PTA IT Consulting is also part of the team. At booth F-111 in hall 2.2, the life science specialists of the IT consultants from Mannheim will present holistic solution approaches for digitization in the healthcare sector that take equal account of the medical sector, IT, but also administrative processes and the associated legal regulations. In addition, PTA will show the specially developed digital and virtual video consultation assistant NEXOVI and explain how digital, AI-supported consultation during patient anamnesis, in the context of diagnoses and therapy suggestions, can relieve often short-staffed healthcare facilities in their daily work.

“Medical facilities such as hospitals, retirement and nursing homes, as well as laboratories, their suppliers, and payers have enormous digital pent-up demand,” explains Dr. Thomas Steinmann, overall manager for the life sciences sector at PTA IT-Beratung. “Digitization is inevitable to reform healthcare providers so that they can successfully cope with the diverse requirements. However, the volume of medical data, the increasing shortage of specialists, and profitability pressures are currently key challenges that make such undertakings complex. The Hospital Future Act (KHZG), which comes into force in 2020, is likely to further increase the pressure.” According to the expert, this opens up new potential for specialized service providers in particular, for example in holistic IT consulting or process optimization.

Proven expertise for solutions in health IT

The facets of the life science sector are diverse – as are the challenges that arise for digitization within this framework. Core processes are becoming increasingly networked and automated. In this industry in particular, the focus is on people as users or patients, which requires user-friendly, easy-to-understand system landscapes. Digitalization projects in the life science industry can only be successfully implemented in combination with proven IT knowledge and experience in dealing with complex processes, diverse stakeholders and extensive regulatory requirements. Efficiency and productivity increases, for example in the operation of testing and diagnostic laboratories, can only be optimally exploited if the precise knowledge of the processes is successfully incorporated into holistic laboratory information management systems and is seamlessly mapped there. Only those who competently implement all aspects of system engineering will be sustainably productive. PTA’s life science experts will present solution approaches and use cases at the trade fair booth, contributing their many years of expertise and process knowledge along the product life cycle – from organization and quality management to product development based on common data transfer standards such as FIHR or ISO 13485 and ISO 62304 certifications.

How video avatars and AI relieve the burden on specialist staff

The PTA trade fair show will be rounded off by the newly developed digital video consulting assistant NEXOVI. The PTA team shows what options the new technology opens up in the life sciences sector and what healthcare providers and payers should consider when implementing this smart solution. Smart video avatars make the work of medical professionals much easier. This is because they take patients, customers or suppliers by the hand and explain to them individually and personally what needs to be done. NEXOVI is much more than just a chatbot, as the advice is provided by actors or adaptive, AI-supported avatars. This allows day-to-day business to be carried out more efficiently and also strengthens customer loyalty, as the use of NEXOVI can significantly reduce incorrect entries and misunderstandings.

With around 11,000 trade visitors and 600 exhibitors from 27 countries every year, DMEA is Europe’s leading event for the digitization of healthcare. In addition to top-class keynotes, numerous specialist presentations and discussion panels, the event will once again offer an extensive program from April 26 to 28, 2022. Current developments will be highlighted as well as a look into the future of healthcare IT. In addition to political bigwigs such as the German Federal Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Karl Lauterbach, and other experts, the DMEA also provides a platform for students and young professionals in the field of digital healthcare. For the first time, DMEA will occupy six exhibition halls in 2022, instead of the previous four, in order to create even more space for professional exchange and room to make contacts.

ESG reporting must meet these standards

The preparation of legally compliant sustainability reporting is often more complex than many company managers assume. A survey that we conducted together with the data specialists at Statista confirms this theory.
