Asynchronous electronic signature of additional documents in agency operation
Project duration: 6 months
Brief description
For one of the world's largest insurers, a pilot to obtain asynchronous electronic customer signatures for additional documents is being designed and introduced. The asynchronous process allows the customer to sign the documents delivered by the agent individually at his own time, without the need for an agent to be physically or virtually present. The aim is to improve the digital connection between agent and customer and to increase the user experience in agency operations. This pilot will be made available in the existing sales system for selected users in order to gain initial experience and make improvements. The project is accompanied in the role of business analyst for functional and technical coordination.
Supplement
The project includes the support of business and requirements analysis in an agile environment and the implementation of quality assurance via technical tests. In order to identify, formulate and prioritize the required user stories and epics, the visualization method 'Story Mapping' was applied together with the business and product owner. The Xray plug-in for Jira was used for testing. The application was deployed in the company's internal cloud infrastructure. It is accessed via a branch from the agent's decentralised CRM clients (Windows).
Subject description
For the execution of his processing steps, the agent is provided with a 'process management' (external software), which has been parameterised specifically for the insurer. In this software, the agent is offered document templates with signature fields that are required for a specific customer transaction. When the process is started, the customer and agent data are transferred to the template, the document is completed and saved in a personalised form. The agent transfers the online transaction to the customer via an e-mail link. The customer opens the process and can execute his electronic signature at any time. As soon as the customer has signed, this is logged in the transaction in the transaction management. The process can be tracked via the process status and, if necessary, reminders can be sent to the customer.
