The openKONSEQUENZ is a cooperative society that jointly develops a software platform (the 'openKONSEQUENZ platform'). It promotes the development of openKONSEQUENZ modules for the operation of energy and water grids, which are made available to the public under an open source license. The development and deployment takes place in the context of Eclipse.org. The PTA advises the members and participating software vendors on the processes and guidelines to be complied with at Eclipse.org and performs tasks related to Eclipse.org.
Supplement
The consulting includes questions about the meaning of the roles contributor and committer, the meaning of open source in general and especially for Eclipse.org or the use or license compatibility of 3rd party libraries. Eclipse.org related tasks include evaluating and delegating bugs received via Bugzilla or requests to the persons responsible for the respective module, or monitoring reviews scheduled at Eclipse.org.
Subject description
The purpose of these tasks is to provide the members of the cooperative, as well as contracted software manufacturers, with a contact person who helps them to find orientation in the Eclipse environment.
