Congestion management system for a customer-specific order entry system
Project duration: 1 year, 4 months
Brief description
New development of a congestion management system, for a customer-specific order entry system, in a client-server environment with Microsoft technologies.
Supplement
This system is a client-server architecture with a MS SQL Server 2008 database as backend and a WPF client based on .Net 4.5.2, developed with Visual Studio 2015. Access for data exchange with SAP R/3 is via web services, which are addressed synchronously using C#.
Subject description
The congestion management system is part of an order entry system from which the maintained information in the ordering process is taken. Several direct interfaces to different SAP systems enable the data exchange of material master data and rationing data. The system includes a worklist in which each clerk can monitor pending changes and promotions for his or her assigned assortment. In Detail Maintenance, it is possible to store data such as substitution articles, note texts, batch specifications, add-on articles and other material-related information for each material. The application also contains a large number of check lists and consistency checks to avoid inconsistent data statuses.
