After the introduction of a new application for business process management, some of the modelled processes were migrated from the legacy systems and then subjected to quality assurance. Processes that could not be migrated are recorded anew. The aim is to ensure that all the Group's processes are available in BPM notation in one application and can be accessed via various views.
Supplement
Due to the company history, the customer used several different systems for business process management (e.g. ARIS). It was decided to use the Symbio Web application for business process modeling throughout the group in the future. The modeling is done there in BPM notation. The processes that have already been modeled are not available in this notation and, if they cannot be migrated, must be remodeled by PTA. The ARIS models were migrated and converted to the BPM notation in this step. However, this could only be done with a loss of quality. PTA subjects these processes to quality assurance and reengineering. Once the modeling is complete, the PTA conducts a review with the specialist department for the modeled processes.
Subject description
The aim of the project is to model business processes throughout the group using the Symbio Web application in BPM notation and to make them available to the company's employees via this platform. For this purpose, all existing business processes will be migrated to this platform or newly entered there and published using various navigation views (e.g. department view, IT systems or value creation).
