Implementation Interface between an op-support system and an instrument management system
Project duration: 2 months
Brief description
Within the framework of the interoperability of IT systems in the healthcare sector, this project aims to implement the interface between an surgical support system and an instrument management system (KENUS® SYSTEM). The focus of the PTA activities is the analysis of the data stock and the implementation of a synchronization mechanism that allows the surgical support system to load newly created or adapted data from Kenus and compare it with the system.
Supplement
In the context of digitisation, IT systems in the healthcare sector should be able to communicate with each other and exchange necessary data and information. In this context, an interface between an operating theatre support system and an instrument management system (KENUS) will be implemented to automatically integrate information and data regarding materials and instruments from KENUS into the system. The interface replaces the manual transfer of data to the op support system and ensures that up-to-date information and locations are mapped. The status of the project is communicated to the customer via Confluence. In particular, relevant information and open points are iteratively refined with the customer in order to align his expectations with the progress of the project.
Subject description
KENUS® SYSTEM is a management and control system for the entire range of instruments. in hospitals and clinics, down to the individual instrument. It allows perfect registration thanks to the specially attached Data Matrix code and fast, error-free identification with the scan camera (source: http://www.ulrich-swiss.ch/files/kenus.pdf). The interface is intended to replace the manual input of materials and instruments and to map the current storage situation of the hospital in the surgical support system. Advantages result from several factors: Error reduction during input; reduction of effort; display of the current condition of the bearing.
