The software is a middleware solution for the diagnostic laboratory and supports workflows in hematology, clinical chemistry or urine analysis. The software can be connected to several analytic instruments including pre- and post analytic. The application provides a uni or bi-directional interface for the exchange of messages between the instruments and a Laboratory Information System (LIS), a Hospital Information System (HIS) or a Electronic Health Record System (EHR).
Supplement
The messages may contain patient information, order data and result data. Quality control results coming from the instruments can be forwarded to the LIS. Sample information about current position and workflow status can be sent to the LIS for the purpose of traceability. The solution supports the automatic creation of an order and the related sample registration. It is also able to manage the distribution and routing of primary samples and aliquots for pre-analytical devices, connected instruments and offline workplaces. The connection to post analytics instruments supports archiving and manual retrieval of samples. The data management functionality includes sample registration, technical validation, result entry and quality control.
Subject description
A special module allows the user to define his own algorithms supporting the technical validation. The module uses the results provided by the instrument(s), order or Patient data and can trigger standard validation actions including return of tests with dilution, request of additional tests, comments, releases. The system also provides statistics that can be extracted and displayed on monitors, wallboards and mobile devices.
