Application for the maintenance of system components of a laboratory information system

Brief description
The application is used by the customer's service technicians to maintain laboratory information systems. Maintenance consists of maintaining, installing and updating system components. The PTA has taken over the further development of the application from the customer according to his requirements. The application is based on the Microsoft. NET framework. Specifically, the implementation was implemented in C#. WPF is used as user interface technology.

The application is used on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2. Communication with the laboratory information system takes place at database level (Oracle 11g). Maintenance work is done with Powershell scripts and PL/SQL scripts embedded in signed XML files and executed by the application at runtime. Within the scope of the project, PTA is responsible for the elaboration of requirements, project management, design, implementation, documentation and test activities. SCRUM is used as a procedure model in the project.
Subject description
The application supports service technicians throughout the entire application lifecycle of the Laboratory Information System (LIS). The basic installation of the Oracle database server, as well as the installation of the LIS itself, can already be carried out via the application. Furthermore, drivers required for communication between the LIS and diagnostic devices can be installed. In addition, the application can execute scripts (Powershell, PL/SQL) that are used for data maintenance in the LIS. The application also provides a service to provide monitoring data for the customer's service organization so that problems with the LIS can be proactively identified and resolved.
