The customer uses various standard and individual software products to map his business processes. Due to frequently changing regulatory requirements, he regularly receives new software releases. This results in a high testing effort, which is still being done manually at the moment. The PTA conducts an analysis together with the customer, in which test automation is examined in more detail and the further strategy for the introduction and implementation of this is defined.
Supplement
First of all, a basic understanding of the topic is created on the customer's side. To this end, PTA will present the topic of test automation and experience in a presentation attended by all interested employees of the customer. The focus is on the different types of test automation and the exemplary consideration of some tools. In addition to the creation of an evaluation matrix, the existing test management process modeled in BPMN 2.0 is examined and adapted. The existing test concept will also be examined and enriched with comments related to automation. The PTA examines and evaluates existing regression test cases as well as test data and evaluates prototypically the integration of various automation tools into the customer's existing ALM system SpiraTeam.
Subject description
In workshops with process and application managers, goals and criteria are recorded and collected in an evaluation matrix. The further procedure is documented as the result of the analysis. This includes which automation tools are used and for which applications the tests are automated.
