Conceptual design, design and implementation of an intranet solution for managing cross-location on-call duty in a power plant company. The application is used to harmonize the different approaches of individual specialist divisions and company locations when it comes to maintaining standbys, with the expectation that synergy effects and cost savings will result.

Previously, Office templates, an Access application and manual document distributions were used to record and distribute the relevant information. This is to be replaced by the new tool, making the functional process standardized and more efficient. Particular attention is paid here to enabling far-reaching configuration possibilities of the application by functionally authorized persons, in order to minimize the effort of future adaptations. The application uses existing systems for managing personnel data and authorizations, in order to minimize the effort for information that is to be entered manually, and to protect personal data efficiently.

The application supports planning and maintenance, monitoring, evaluation and on-call duty times in various specialist divisions and company locations.
