SAP BW: Price transparency

Brief description
For purchasing, an Excel application that was previously created manually for each material is used as the basis for collecting all the relevant aspects and key figures for material price trends in purchasing prices, price components, discounts, surcharges and special conditions, currency exchange rate trends, alternative materials, weighting by quantity volume etc.; then, key figures are calculated and prepared in a report. PTA is tasked with analyzing the key figure calculation in Excel and implementing it in SAP BW.
Supplement
This work is carried out in international environment, so three different reporting currencies have to be taken into account at all times (document currency, company code currency and group currency). The key figures are interlinked and build on each other, so that the overall application reaches the result in multiple iterative steps.
Subject description
For purchasing, it is important not only to observe price trends as a whole, but also to consider the price components, which are subject to very different influencing factors, such as currency fluctuations, purchasing price negotiations, economies of scale, raw material price trends, etc. Added to this, it is necessary at all times to compare this to trends for the product family.
