MS SQL Server replacement for central infrastructure monitoring
Project duration: 10 months
Brief description
In the course of changing the customer's central infrastructure monitoring to a new system, the standard monitoring system developed for the SQL Server instances is adapted and adjusted to the requirements of the new system. In particular, the SQL modules for monitoring the backup strategy, data file utilization and the monitoring of agent jobs are adapted. Additional focuses include reading out the error log and monitoring general availability.
Subject description
The customer operates a three-figure number of MS SQL Server instances in various editions and versions. The hosts are primarily made available on a dedicated VM farm. A wide variety of installations are used, from single instance to multi-instance, AlwaysOn failover cluster instances, and also AlwaysOn high-availability groups.
