Change tracking for database entries in gas purchases
Project duration: 3 months
Brief description
Expanding an application for planning, optimizing and monitoring gas purchases to include change tracking at the database level.
Supplement
Change tracking makes it possible to trace new modified and deleted entries in the master data, within the application. Triggers on the master data tables activate archiving of the changes in log tables; keys are translated directly into simplified names. Filters enable simple handling of the change data.
Subject description
The change tracking user can see which changes have been made to master data, when and by whom. This makes it possible to store data in an auditable manner because every change is logged. Another benefit, enables by suitable filter options, is easier identification of errors in the master data if an optimization process fails.
