Harmonization and expansion of processes in the European energy market
Project duration: 7 months
Brief description
After successful migration of the European energy business of a large energy trading company from the Xenon sector software to Endur, the focus of this project is on harmonization of trading processes along the value creation chain and expansion of the existing functionalities.
Supplement
In close collaboration with the departments, requirements are created and all activities are supported from design to go-live. This includes tasks in the area of project planning & controlling, as well as in test management. By preference, the Customizing functions of the Endur standard software are used to reflect the processes. Individual script solutions are specified and implemented "OpenJVS" by external developers. Existing functions based on AVS scripts, where possible, also reimplemented or adapted in "OpenJVS". HPQC software is used for the test management. This supports definition and implementation of all test cases, as well as management of the errors and change requests arising from the tests.
Subject description
The historically-developed processes are analyzed from a functional and technical perspective in order to define the corresponding planned processes. The objective of the subsequent transformation is the generation of synergies across markets and commodities (electricity, gas, coal, emissions). These activities focus on standardization of the book structure and, in particular, the harmonization of the deal lifecycle, as well as consolidation of the back office processes (especially confirmations, margining and settlement). The reduction in complexity improves the ease-of-maintenance and stability of the participating systems. This makes it possible to provide future adjustments and expansions on-time and cost-efficiently.
