Replacing the existing VBA module "Quotation manager to create quotation documents" by introducing Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 with customer-specific enhancements. The enhancements include a drag and drop editor for composing quotations and generation by the server of print-ready quotation documents.Additional features include connecting an ERP system for daily transfer of product master data and orders. PTA also carries out training courses, data migration from the old system and rollout.

To expand the standard software Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, web sites are created using HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Elementary frameworks for this development are JQuery and Knockout.js. Furthermore, plug-ins are created in C# and .Net 4.5 is used as a framework. Server-side generation of Word documents is implemented based on a purchased software component. Data migration from the former system is implemented using Excel. The interfaces are created by the customer based on SAP PI. Support in the area of data modeling and mapping. Scrum is used as a project method, where the team comprises members from three different geographical locations. Team Foundation Server 2012 and the Web interface it provides are used for code management and visualization of the Scrum board. Visual Studio 2012 is used as the development environment. The documentation is saved in SharePoint.

Support for the quotation process with generation of print-ready quotation documents and management of the individual quotation versions. Quotation-specific discount scales and other discount features can be set in the quotations. Master data maintenance and marketing processes are also mapped using the standard CRM functions. Sales colleagues and sales managers can use dashboards to gain an overview of the current situation for quotations and orders. Individual or team-specific attainment of sales objectives is also visualized in the dashboard.
