Brief description
Within an customer reorganisation a cross-functional Taskforce is established to focus on harmonization and improvement of the implemented requirements management process. Therefore organizational pain points are identified, possible solutions are evaluated and documented according to the quality assurance procedure. Core element is the creation of a stakeholder survey to identify possible approaches for improvement based on a web-based survey tool. Semi-automated evaluation of the survey results leads to a prioritized action list. Agreed changes are stepwise implemented in selected projects and intensively coached.
Supplement
A complex survey creation is performed based on a qualified stakeholder analysis respeczing the current organizational situation. The survey is created in sequentially held workshops and implemented in the web-based survey tool of the customer organization. The evaluation of the survey results is performed semi-automatically and supported by PTA developed Excel-VBA macros.
Subject description
The process improvements in the requirements engineering discipline are categorized into separate topics: process integration; process quality; awareness; methods; configuration management; change management. With focus on the dependencies and the interferences with agile development methods (SCRUM), the perceived quality of the requirements work and the understanding of the whole process are qualified.
