After successful upgrade of the energy trading and riskmanagement software Endur from OpenLink to a new version another clean up release is implemented. The clean up release solves some serious bugs left over with manual workarounds from the initial upgrade project. Main PTA involvement is leading a decentralized mixed team with offshore testing and offshore releasemanagement and participants from the IT infrastructure outsourcing partner. On top PTA is responsible for planning and operating the user acceptance tests.
Supplement
The project run as a pilot project in a new structured IT-Organization. Daily stand up meetings, a robust escalation culture and a transparent and well communicated task structure are some of the key factors for the project success. Based on lessons learned from the previous upgrade project the project management has been improved. Critical bugs left over from the previous upgrade are forcing a strict time management and a time critical implementation of the new version. As a consequence of the short implementation time a high amount of parallel work is planned.
