Expansion and adjustment of a real estate management system
Project duration: 2 years, 9 months
Brief description
Enhancement and adjustment of standard software for real estate management according to customer-specific requirements or processes.
Supplement
The standard software is a Web application based on the Java framework Spring. The interface is set out using a separate, XML-noted language. Additional functionality can be included via Javascript or provided via self-developed Java components. Oracle is used as the database system, some of the business logic is reflected via PL/SQL. Along with actual real estate management, the software is also used for controlling. Various predefined reports and evaluations exist for this that can be made available as PDF or Excel documents. For creation of these documents, external class library Aspose.Cells and the transformation of XML data via XSL are both used. SOAP Web services are also used to provide an interface via which other systems can be provided with parts of the function Web application.
Subject description
The system is gradually replacing an existing application for real estate management. The new standard software manages and supports the entire object life cycle for real estate from acquisition to design, implementation and operating phase (facility management) to administration. Also, the data taken from the system are used for controlling purposes to optimize processes and costs, as well as to provide and effective basis for decision-making. The procedure model during development follows an agile approach consisting of a combination of Scrum and Kanban, supported on the tool side by TFS.
