With the changeover to SAP NetWeaver 7.0, SAP offers the option of changing the authorization concept for reports in SAP BI to one that is better suited to the reporting needs. This changeover is to be prepared and planned with a conceptual design. To achieve this, the existing BI systems are analyzed and quantity structures are identified.
Subject description
All users who want to display transaction data from authorization-relevant characteristics or navigation attributes in a query require analysis authorizations. This type of authorization is not based on the standard authorization concept of SAP. Instead, these authorizations use their own concept that takes the features of reporting and analysis in BI into consideration.
