Based on a re-engineering concept the existing standard software system EuroMistral® is further developed and enhanced. A pilot system, with a well-defined function spectrum, is rolled out for a pilot client. PTA provides client support, primarily test activities as well as cross-functional tasks to keep the pilot project's timeplan up to date with the main re-engineering project.
Supplement
The newly-designed web interface and system architecture from EuroMistral (Web online system) will be implemented as a pilot with pilot customers in releases 4.1 to 4.3. To test the application, the PTA has created and implemented the following procedure together with the pilot customers: Use test and planning tools 'SpiraTeam' of Inflectra Corporation for planning, creation, implementation and monitoring of tests, as well as a central tool for storing documents. Identify functional relevant business cases (for testing) at the pilot customer. Identify cases not described and tested in the functional model for the determination of gaps and functional extensions ('Delta determination'). Define and formulate new test cases for the Delta. Test assignment for testers and releases and complete test documentation in SpiraTeam. Error messages are entered and processed via SpiraTeam incidents, while status reports are derived from SpiraTeam.
Subject description
The functional modeling of business processes as "scenario variants" in Enterprise Architect and the formulation and performance of tests with SpiraTeam require intense knowledge exchange between PTA and the pilot customers to create a shared understanding of test content (functional sector knowledge) and the use of tools. For the formulation of tests, knowledge is also required on how EuroMistral implements functional processes and function modules in the web online system to ensure that tests concentrate on identifying functionally-relevant errors in the context of pilot customer usage. Identification of technical errors in the standard processes is first dealt with within the project as part of the reengineering project.
