Support for and further development of application for planning sales campaigns in the context of a systematic approach to customers. The campaigns and all the necessary data are made available to representatives for transfer to the agency management and information system. The multi-stage process is designed as a web application based on a proprietary Java architecture.
Supplement
The application is implemented in multiple layers and it uses a proprietary Java architecture for the business process logic and the dialogs. The runtime environment is provided by WebSphere. An Oracle database is responsible for storing the data. The database is supplied with data via batch processes that are implemented in PL/SQL. The information that is to be transferred to the agency management and information system is sent as an XML data flow.
Subject description
Carrying out targeted and promising marketing activities for insurance products is based on a variety of pillars. These make it possible to communicate systematically with insurance holders within the framework of an ideally organized sales process that is oriented toward the customer's needs. The first planning stage involves planning the campaign, selecting suitable customers from the inventory systems and releasing the campaign for subsequent stages. In the second stage, additional customer data is identified from the operational systems during night-time batch processing, and this data is provided to the representatives as a proposal list in a central system that is available online. In the final stage, the representative selects customers for the campaign from this list and loads all the necessary data, including the sales-supporting templates, from the central system to the local agency management and information system.
