Support for the introduction of the ERP Software InforLN (formerly Baan ERP). Support is primarily for processes in the central warehouse, in purchasing, production (final assembly and manufacturing of components and assemblies) and sales. The concept also takes inter-company settlement into account.
Supplement
The introduction of the standard software resulted in delivery problems so that corrections have to be made during live operation. The standard software concepts also include interfaces to the shipping systems.
Subject description
The standard software was configured to support two essential processes. One is the high turnover of what are known as mail orders that are delivered centrally from a multi-story warehouse via various dispatch channels. Consignment, delivery and packaging, as well as invoicing, take place within a 24-hour framework. An additional process is freighting for export. These procedures take place over the course of about 4 weeks, from the customer placing an order, through to delivery by the regional customer service. The biggest bottleneck is the production of large devices. Production takes place at another location.
