The support contract includes support for the operating diary module. As part of the support contract, 2nd and 3rd level activities are performed, such as error analysis and troubleshooting. The operations diary module is used to record events in the day-to-day business of a network operator, such as person XY on company premises. PTA developed the front end, back end and the communication between the various modules. From a technical point of view, the front end and back end are decoupled from each other via web services.
Supplement
The application is based on a single page architecture (SPA). The front end uses up-to-date web technologies, such as Angular 2, HTML5, CSS and TypeScript. The back end, which is connected via REST web services, is based on Java 8. The connection to the PostgreSQL database is implemented via the OR mapper Hibernate. The operations log module communicates with other modules via the ESB Talend, which connects the individual modules of the application together as a central bus system. PTA provides support for the conceptual design and carries out all the development work. The software is made available via the Eclipse project oK operations log, which is a completely open source solution under the EPL (Eclipse Public License).
Subject description
In continuous support for electricity, gas, district heating or water networks, operations events have to be scheduled and documented. This module is responsible for recording, planning and reminding about operations log entries and it supports the shift-change process. All entries are saved in audit-proof form. This module is made available to network service providers via a community. As the software (and therefore the EPL license) is provided via the Eclipse platform, any interested network operator can use the solution. There are no license fees.
