Porting data exchange allows legally-required transfer of the Voice over IP numbers of a customer when switching from one local exchange carrier to another. From the perspective of the LEC, switching a customer from another LEC represents an import, while switching to another LEC represents an export. The application supports both import and export of porting data. The corresponding dialogs are provided. The standardized processes in the PDA are implemented in the form of workflows.
Supplement
The technical basis for VoIP-PDA is the CRM Clarify system. The required dialogs are implemented with the classic Clarify client (ClearBasic). The required workflows are implemented with the Clarify component "Process Manager". The "Process Manager" allows the definition of workflows that are processed on an automated basis, depending on an object (case). The process is designed so that it will react to the activation of a specific status set in the screen, as well as to certain time events (waiting time expired, porting date reached, etc.). The business logic is implemented with Java objects that are called via corresponding services from the "Process Manager". the Java objects access the Clarify Business Objects (CBO) in order to reflect the required business logic. Java objects and Process Manager are installed on an application server (WebLogic Server).
Subject description
Telecommunication companies support the Voice over IP (VoIP) service, i.e. calls via the IP network. Legal regulations require that customers who use this service can retain their existing VoIP number if they switch their telecommunications service provider. Telecommunication companies must provide the corresponding software support to enable this.
