Screening for Cervical Cancer

Brief description
Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable causes of death. Vaccination against the HPV can prevent many cases. Regular screenings are also crucial. This software solution helps gynecology practices identify patients needing screenings. It guides the entire process from initial check to confirmed diagnosis. Colposcopies, where abnormal tissue is biopsied, pose risks. PTA conducted risk management according to ISO14971 and guided the project from pilot phase to market readiness.
Supplement
This cloud application runs on AWS and uses StepFunctions for the diagnostic decision tree. The web interface allows doctors to access patient information and statuses, such as '2 years until next screening' or 'waiting for HPV test results'. The interface can integrate with hospital information systems and supports single sign-on.
Subject description
The main benefit of this product is providing medical staff with a clear overview. This improves planning, as they know how many screenings are upcoming and which tests are pending. Patients can be easily informed via email that their results are good and they are healthy.
