Specification Grid Failure Information Module within the scope of a research project

Project duration: 3 months

Brief description

The PTA creates an implementation plan and a requirements specification to clarify the necessary functional extensions for integrating the Grid Failure Information Module (GFI) module into the IT system environment of the PAIRS project. PAIRS stands for Privacy-Aware, Intelligent and Resilient Crisis Management, and it is a research project for data-driven crisis management. The documents created can serve as a basis for the customer in the subsequent bidding process.

Supplement

The PTA is creating a requirements specification for necessary functional extensions in close collaboration with the consortium partners of the PAIRS project. This specification includes clear descriptions of the functional enhancements as well as the technical specifications for connecting the system interfaces. Within the scope of PAIRS, data is exchanged across industries, extending beyond corporate boundaries, and for this purpose, the EDC (Eclipse Dataspace Components) Framework is employed. The central focus of the specification is the analysis of the required functional extensions to integrate the GFI with the EDC connectors of the framework. Additionally, the PTA is undertaking software-related preparations for a containerized deployment, aiming to facilitate a swift commissioning of the software for the network providers.

Subject description

The research project 'Privacy-Aware, Intelligent and Resilient Crisis Management' (PAIRS) pursues a cross-domain and federated approach in developing a crisis management platform with the aim of iteratively and adaptively identifying and anticipating crisis scenarios based on a hybrid AI approach. Within this research project, a data node is intended to be conceptualized and prototypically implemented, bringing together data from distributed instances of the Grid Failure Information Module software and other comparable solutions into a data source for the whole of Germany. An EDC connector is planned to be integrated into the Grid Failure Information Module (GFI) to share data with the PAIRS platform while preserving data sovereignty.
